Victoria | Pacific Heights Seller
We are still glowing after closing on our Pacific Heights condo last week, thanks to the AMAZING Erin Thompson. She and her right-hand woman, Olivia Goldstein, absolutely knocked it out of the park and exceeded all our expectations. We had unsuccessfully tried to sell our condo two years ago with a different team, so we were understandably nervous when attempting it a second time. We knew we needed a realtor with a proven record in Pacific Heights, an exceptional reputation/network, and the tenacity to work hard and negotiate to get us top dollar. We found it all in Erin Thompson.
Erin believed in our place from day one because she knew the neighborhood, she knew the market, and she trusted her own skills. While other realtors we interviewed were guessing we’d come in around the high 800s or low 900s, Erin confidently knew she could land us well over a million for our one-bedroom condo on Alta Plaza park, and she was right. She coordinated and oversaw the upgrades that would make a meaningful difference, and she went the extra mile, wrangling a million different contractors and even taking multiple visits to the showroom to pick out counters and floors for us since we no longer live in SF. She and Olivia were exceptionally organized, keeping everything flowing so they could list the condo at the perfect moment.
And the outcome? In only two weeks we had multiple competing offers, and Erin landed us $130K over asking, well beyond what we ever imagined possible.
If you’re thinking of hiring Erin to sell your place, here are four things that might tip you over the edge:
1) She will be 100% engaged through the whole process.— I was worried that by going with one of the top SF realtors, our condo sale would just be pawned off to a team of underlings, as often happens. Not with Erin. She is a control freak in the best possible way, and she was part of every single aspect of the sale. She has Olivia by her side as support, not as a stand-in. (And Olivia is absolutely amazing!)
2) You will feel like her only client. — We had no idea until after we were in escrow that Erin was also closing on a $22 million home nearby. We always felt like we were her only focus and could get in touch with her at any moment. She works just as hard for the one-bedroom condo sale as she does for the mega mansion, and she’ll give you unbelievable attention the whole way through.
3) She is a real estate genius. — Erin knows the local sales data inside and out, and it brilliantly informs her strategies. We waited until the last minute to finalize a sale price because she was carefully monitoring every single transaction and market signal, plus tapping into her network of fellow relators for intel so we could hit the market at the perfect price.
4) She is an expert negotiator. — Erin doesn’t quit until she gets the absolute best outcome possible. I wish I could have been a fly on the wall as she was “dialing for dollars,” seamlessly negotiating with three competing offers to land us the best possible sale price. Even though it doesn’t make much of a difference in her final compensation, Erin knows that every dollar matters to the seller, and she will work hard to maximize your profits.
If you are thinking about selling your condo or home, especially in Pacific Heights or nearby, we can’t recommend Erin Thompson enough. She is an absolute legend, a joy to be around, a total shark at real estate, and she gave us a financial outcome that was better than we ever expected, enabling us to fund our next big adventure.
